That's all for today...I'm out the door for a family trip. And I did pick up the studio (a little) after this photo! (The painting above, Fragment, 16" square, will soon be on its way to Ireland.)
Oh this makes me feel better!!! MIne looks worse than that and I don't often even bother to pick it up...I wait and kinda shovel it in to a garbage can! Very beautiful painting indeedy!
Oh . . how I love to see a studio that's really been cookin' with creativity!! When the right brain is immersed, the left brain kind of disappears! Love that you posted that . . and your beautiful painting.
Right now I'm in a "dance" with more editing on my surfaces . . more space. Your paintings are beautiful examples . . rich with nuance and subtlety.
Great comments--thanks! I always make a pretty big mess when I am immersed in the work and marvel at studios that are pristine...but different strokes for different folks!

ReplyDeletesuch a juxtaposition with the order and dynamic in your work
This may be one of my favorite posts of yours ever! I love that your work with its often quiet meditative quality is birthed in that nice messy space!
ReplyDeleteOkay,Rebecca, you know how I cringe at that kind of mess -- but the results are so worth it!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! The before and after shots. Very well worth the mess.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. Thanks for posting. I also feel better seeing this as I can relate.
