studio view
I've had a couple of studio visits lately, painter friends Tiit Raid and Mark Horton have each been here and given me feedback on recent work, some of which is bound for my upcoming March exhibit in Madison, WI at Grace Chosy Gallery. I'm excited about a couple of developments of my current paintings--lots of line drawing and inscribed lines on the paint surface, and in general more prominent paint texture. Neither is obvious in this photo, but close ups of new work will be posted soon.
In this view some of the paintings are finished and panels already bolted into place--others are in progress and may change tomorrow or the next day...a snapshot of a typical studio day. ¶ 7:44 PM

Hi Rebecca, the work looks wonderful, hard to believe March is just around the corner...(no pressure!). I'm very interested in the linear elements you're putting in the paintings -- it looks like a very nice development judging from Wandering Path. Well done!
I just read your website article about creativity and spirituality. Much of what you said brings to mind how I go about my art work but I don't have the words to express it. I just discovered your blog. I feel a connection with your work. Perhaps I'll see it sometime, not just virtually.

Thanks to you both...yes lots of lines now. I'll post some more soon. Diana, I'm really pleased that you found my website and blog and that you read my essay. I wrote that awhile ago and your mention of it prompted me to re-read and see if it still rings true. I have to say that it does...maybe more so as time goes on. I'm glad you like it.
