new painting
This is Mountain, 60"x36" in oil on board. The title comes from the feeling in the lighter panel of an aerial view of mountains, or perhaps a topographic map. I am also reminded of stones in the colors and textures. Once again (I feel compelled to give this declaimer practically every time I post a painting!) there is quite a lot of subtlety and detail not captured here.
