new painting
This morning I finished this painting, called Boundary (60"x36".) I am happy with its subtleties, which may be viewed better by clicking on the image, then hitting your backspace arrow when done. On the center panel there are delicate lines--I used a technique that I've been playing around with of drawing on thin paper (I use tracing paper) with compressed charcoal, then pressing the paper against the (not completely dry) painted surface with a brayer. The lines transfer very well. I burnish them a bit with a squeegee to make sure they are integrated into the surface layer of paint. ¶ 10:51 AM

Great painting. Love the colors & texture, especially the center panels. Transferring lines like you mentioned is a method I'll certainly try. I'm still experimenting a lot with different methods of texturing, and this sounds like another great thing to try!
Mmmmmmmmmm! dark, milk and white chocolate and caramel I should say! can you tell I just bought a small box of handmade chocolate from Puccini in Amsterdam?
