  new website

After several days of intensive work with my web designer, my new website is up. Please visit and enjoy. This is a portfolio type of site, with a selected number of paintings plus information about me and how to contact my galleries.

An interesting development, noted in the new site, is that I am now represented by an agent in Ireland and the UK. He will also handle any inquiries in Europe. I'm excited by this opportunity, especially since I'll be in Ireland in September as an artist in residence at the Tyrone Guthrie Center in Annamaghkerrig (I have actually learned how to spell that) in County Monaghan.

My old website, which many of you will have visited in the past, has a new URL, CrowellArtConection.com. In the near future, CrowellArtConnection will undergo a complete overhaul, and will be focused on teaching information and resources for artists interested in my work and techniques. For now it is much the same as ever, but I have updated my teaching schedule now that I've set my calendar for 2011.

Many thanks to all of you who follow my work! My aim is to to provide a more focused way to keep up with new paintings and career developments, plus a format for expanded information on painting for the artists among you.

Comments:
Rebecca, you're new site is lovely. I'm a fan of your work and process and I also work in oil and cold wax. However I'm trying to find my own way as no one seems to teach this process where I am. If you ever come to Australia please let me know. Or let me know if you have a book that may be resourceful. Congrats on spreading to Europe too. Thank you.

thanks Stephanie. No plans to come to Australia(I wish!!) At some point I may have some online courses available through my teaching website. In the meantime, have you joined this site?

Rebecca,
Your work is stunning! I have watched you video many times on youtube. I am so glad to have found your blog and new website. Best wishes for 2011.

Hi Carole, thank you, I really appreciate your interest in my work. I took a look at your blog as well--nice work! I might be coming your way in 2012 to do a workshop near Vancouver...Salt Spring Island is the plan anyway.

Hi Rebecca, I will check out your new site in a moment. I'm sure it's beautiful.
I was working last night in the studio and I wanted to tell you that your voice was in my ear at a crucial moment of decision, telling me to reduce (minimalize) my image further. This is a good thing! Thank you.
Re Ireland: bring heavy heavy thick warm warm warm wool sweaters and socks. You won't regret it. Sounds like a fascinating trip!

hmmm it is a little strange to imagine my voice in anyone's ear but I'm glad it was to good effect, anyway! So Ireland is a little on the chilly side?

What a great start your year is off to. Lovely to see the action shots. A video would be brillaint (hinting loudly)
One thing though - you may have learnt to speall Annamaghkerrig but can you say it? I'm not sure I could....

Thanks Cath! as for that long A word...I have a theory but will find out if I'm right in September (hopefully before I embarrass myself!)
